Sikh police officer saves Muslim man from lynching by Hindus in Nainital
This Sikh cop will restore your faith in humanity!
In a nation where, love comes with religion, caste, creed and colour, this Sikh police officer stood up to the crowd to save a couple. While inter-faith or inter-religion marriages are still a taboo, this Sikh restores our faith in humanity above everything.
The boy that is seen being hit by men among a mob is a Muslim and he had come to meet a Hindu girl at a nearby temple. Upon arriving, the couple was questioned by locals and when it was found that the boy is Muslim, it created a furore.
Sub Inspector Gagandeep Singh stepped in the situation and saved the couple from the crowd. The incident took place on May 22 at a temple complex in Girija village in Nainital.
"My brother Gagandeep Singh yesterday saved a life of guy in crowd who wanted him to handover that guy to them so that they can punish him themselves ! He is real Sardar who obeys words of our tenth guru Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji , he proved to be real Sikh !! Proud of you brother !! Uttarakhand police !!" the sister of the police officer posted.
