PTC News Desk: Navjot Singh Sidhu, a prominent Congress leader and former president of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, delighted his followers on Monday by introducing his would-be daughter-in-law and sharing her photos on Twitter. Sidhu took to the platform and posted several images from a family trip they embarked upon during the auspicious occasion of Durga Ashtami.

One of the photos captured Sidhu alongside his wife, Navjot Kaur Sidhu, daughter Rabia Sidhu, son Karan Sidhu, and the newest member of their family, Inayat Randhawa, on the banks of the holy river Ganges. Another picture showcased Karan Sidhu and his future spouse beaming with joy as they posed for photographs.

Sidhu captioned the post, "The son honours the most cherished desire of his beloved mother... On this auspicious Durga Ashtami day, in the lap of mother Ganges, a new beginning, introducing our would-be daughter-in-law Inayat Randhawa. They exchanged promise bands," accompanied by the family's photographs.

Twitter users expressed their love for the pictures and showered heartfelt comments while extending their congratulations to the couple. One user exclaimed, "Wow, what an incredible moment. Heartiest congratulations!"

Another user commented, "Congratulations to the spiritual, bold, honest, patriotic, loving, and truly secular family! God bless the young couple."

Last month, the Sidhu family visited Rishikesh to celebrate Ganga Dussehra. Sidhu shared an image on Twitter, revealing himself and his family taking a dip in the holy waters of the Ganges. In another photo, the family could be seen posing together in a restaurant.

Sidhu, aged 59, was released from the Patiala Central Jail on April 2, 2023, following a 10-month prison sentence. He had been serving time for a road-rage incident that occurred 34 years ago, resulting in the death of a 65-year-old man named Gurnam Singh. Prior to his release, Sidhu's wife posted an emotional tweet, expressing that her husband's love for Punjab had propelled him beyond any attachment.

Notably, in March of this year, Navjot Kaur, Sidhu's wife, was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive cancer. A few weeks ago, she shared another update on her health journey and posted a video following her first chemotherapy session.
