War box office collection Day 20: Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff-starrer beats Sultan, Padmaavat

War, a blockbuster featuring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Vaani Kapoor is still on a box office riot. On Sunday, the film made it to the elite 300 crore club. It has crossed the lifetime collection of Padmaavat (Rs 302.15 crore) and has added more than Rs 2.10 crore to its account in the third week. After a 20-day run, the total collection of the film stands at Rs 304 crore.

Noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, on Tuesday, shared a tweet summing up the business of War. “#War crosses lifetime biz of #Sultan and #Padmaavat... Now seventh highest-grossing #Hindi film... Fri 2.80 cr, Sat 4.35 cr, Sun 5.60 cr, Mon 2.10 cr. Total: ₹ 290 cr. Including #Tamil + #Telugu: ₹ 304 cr. #India biz,” he wrote.

The film stars Hrithik, Tiger, and Vaani with Ashutosh Rana, Anupriya Goenka, Soni Razdan and Dipannita Sharma in pivotal roles. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, War garnered worldwide appreciation. Siddharth Anand has helmed several films, including Salaam Namaste, Bachna Ae Haseeno and Bang Bang.

While War has been applauded as an action film, it has also been criticized for a weak storyline. The climax, however, is gripping for both the Aye and Naysayers.
