50 killed, several injured as massive fire engulfs shopping mall in Iraq

PTC News Desk:  At least 50 people were killed and several others injured on Thursday after massive fire engulfed a hypermarket in Kut city in eastern Iraq.

Multiple videos are doing rounds on social media which shows a five-storey building eminating plumes of fire as firefighters battle to douse the blaze.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known, but the governor said initial results from an investigation would be announced within 48 hours.
