PTC Web Desk:  Dubai’s international airport and the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel were hit during an overnight wave of Iranian missile strikes targeting multiple Gulf states, according to aviation sources. Authorities said four persons were injured at Dubai International Airport.

In a statement posted on X, Dubai’s media office said a concourse at Dubai International (DXB) suffered minor damage in what it described as an incident that was swiftly brought under control. Officials did not elaborate on the cause or extent of the impact.

Separately, Abu Dhabi Airports briefly reported an incident at Zayed International Airport that allegedly resulted in the death of an Asian national and injuries to seven others. However, the statement was later removed, and no further clarification was immediately available.

Dubai authorities also confirmed that debris from an aerial interception operation ignited a fire at one of the berths at Jebel Ali Port. Emergency crews responded to contain the blaze.

The attacks came as Iran launched missiles toward Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Doha — cities that serve as key aviation hubs connecting Europe and Asia. The escalation forced airlines to suspend several regional flights, including services operating to and from the United Arab Emirates.

Flight-tracking data indicated that large portions of Middle Eastern airspace were nearly empty following the strikes, reflecting widespread disruption to commercial aviation.

The incidents mark a sharp escalation in regional tensions and have heightened concerns over the safety of critical infrastructure across the Gulf.
