Pakistan: Former PM Imran Khan injured as shots fired at his rally

Imran Khan injured: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has reportedly been injured after shots were fired at his rally on Thursday.

According to reports, some unidentified assailants opened fire on a container-mounted-truck carrying Imran Khan in Wazirabad.

Notably, Imran Khan is leading an anti-government protest march in Islamabad, demanding snap elections.

Following the firing, there was a stampede during the march. Everyone on the container, including the PTI leaders, panicked. 

According to media reports citing sources, 5 people were injured in the shooting incident. Those injured in the shooting are being transferred to hospitals in ambulances, according to the statement.

Furthermore, ARY News reported, citing sources, that the alleged shooter had been apprehended.
