Two killed, one injured in mass shooting in Switzerland; gunman at large

PTC News Desk: A shooter opened fire on two locations in a southern Swiss town on Monday, killing two people and injuring one.

The individual, who has not yet been identified, opened fire on several individuals in Sion shortly before 8 a.m. for unknown reasons, according to police in Valais canton (state).

Police stated that officers had been dispatched to apprehend the shooter. They stated that he seemed to have known his victims, but did not provide any other information or specify where he opened fire.

A murder investigation has been launched by local prosecutors.
