You (L-G) say, I have the power. I am a superman": SC to Lieutenant Governor of Delhi
The Supreme Court on Thursday criticised the office of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi for failing its duty to dispose of the garbage accumulated in Delhi.
The court criticised the L-G for not taking effective steps to deal with the problem though he claims control over municipal corporations.
Justice Madan Bhimrao Lokur observed: "You (L-G) say, I have the power. I am a superman".
The Supreme Court's reaction came a day after it asked the Centre and the Delhi Government to clarify who could be held responsible for clearing the "mountain loads of garbage" in Delhi.
