Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Amritsar north, located in the Amritsar district, is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Congress' Sunil Dutti won the last assembly elections and is the sitting MLA of Amritsar North. He won the 2017 elections by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Anil Joshi with a margin of 14,236 votes. Voters According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 1,75,709. 182 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections. A total of 1,17,882 votes were cast in the constituency Amritsar North and the percentage was 67.09%, which was recorded lower than the state average. Candidates Aam Aadmi Party's Manish Aggarwal, Congress' Sunil Dutti and BJP's Anil Joshi were MLA candidates for Amritsar north constituency in the 2017 Punjab Assembly Elections. Dutti managed to grab 59,212, while Anil Joshi (BJP) won 44,976 votes and Manish Aggarwal (AAP) received just 10,966. BJP, at that time, had an alliance with Shiromani Akali Dal.
