Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Anandpur Sahib is located in the Rupnagar district of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Kanwar Pal Singh from Congress won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of Anandpur Sahib. He won the 2017 elections by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Parminder Sharma with a margin of 23,881 votes. Voters According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 1,78,139. 215 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections. A total of 1,34,736 votes were cast in the Anandpur Sahib constituency and the percentage was 75.64%, which was recorded lower than the state average. Candidates Aam Aadmi Party's Sanjeev Gautam, Bharatiya Janata Party's Parminder Sharma and Congress' K P Singh were MLA candidates for the Anandpur Sahib constituency in the 2017 Punjab assembly elections.
