Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Bassi Pathana is located in the Fatehgarh Sahib district of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Gurpreet Singh GP from Congress won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of Bassi Pathana. He won the 2017 elections by defeating Aam Aadmi Party's Santokh Singh with a margin of 10,046 votes. Voters According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 1,42,156. 176 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections. A total of 1,13,623 votes were cast in the Bassi Pathana constituency and the percentage was 79.93%, which was recorded higher than the state average. Candidates Aam Aadmi Party's Santokh Singh, Shiromani Akali Dal's Darbara Singh Guru and Congress' Gurpreet Singh were MLA candidates for the Bassi Pathana constituency in 2017 Punjab assembly elections. Gurpreet Singh (Congress) won with 47,319 votes, while Santokh Singh (AAP) got 37,273 votes. Darbara Singh Guru (SAD) managed to get 24,852 votes.
