Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Bathinda Rural constituency is located in the Bathinda district of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Aam Aadmi Party's Rupinder Kaur Ruby won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of Bathinda rural. She won the 2017 elections by defeating Shiromani Akali Dal's Amit Rattan with a margin of 10,778 votes. Voters According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 1,54,169. 160 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections. A total of 1,26,749 votes were cast in the Bathinda Rural constituency and the percentage was 82.21, which was recorded higher than the state average. Candidates Aam Aadmi Party's Rupinder Kaur Ruby, Shiromani Akali Dal's Er. Amit Rattan Kotfatta and Congress' Harvinder Singh Laddi were MLA candidates for the Bathinda Rural constituency in the 2017 Punjab assembly elections. Rupinder Kaur Ruby (AAP) grabbed 51,572 votes, while Amit Rattan Kotfatta (SAD) got 40,794 votes. Harvinder Singh Laddi (Congress) received 28,939 votes.
