Punjab Assembly elections 2022:
Shiromani Akali Dal's Bikram Singh Majithia unsuccessfully contested the Punjab Assembly elections 2022 from Majitha. He was polled 25,188 votes. The seat was, however, won by Jeevan Jyot Kaur of the AAP, who was polled 39,679 votes. He is the younger brother of Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal and brother-in-law of former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal.
