Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Chamkaur Sahib is located in the Rupnagar district of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Congress' Charanjit Singh Channi won the last assembly elections. He won the 2017 elections by defeating Aam Aadmi Party's Dr Charanjit Singh with a margin of 12,308 votes. Voters According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 1,85,551. 205 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections. A total of 1,45,189 votes were cast in the Chamkaur Sahib constituency and the percentage was 78.25%, which was recorded higher than the state average. Candidates Aam Aadmi Party's Charanjit Singh, Shiromani Akali Dal's Justice Nirmal Singh and Congress' Charanjit Singh Channi were MLA candidates for the Chamkaur Sahib constituency in the 2017 Punjab assembly elections. Charanjit Singh Channi (Congress) won 61,060 votes, while Charanjit Singh (AAP) got 48,752 votes. Justice Nirmal Singh (SAD) managed to get 31,452 votes.
