Congress Pygmies trapped, big sharks to meet same fate soon: Sukhbir Badal The entire Sikh community hailed the Delhi High court for upholding the conviction of 88 accused in the anti-Sikh riots in 1984 but it was too little and too late. Shockingly, all of them are Congress men which vindicates that the then ruling party Congress had conspired to commit worst ever genocide in the India’s history. Stating this here today, former chief minister and president Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Sukhbir Singh Badal said that hordes of Congress workers led by their senior leaders has charged Sikh dominated suburb Trilokpuri, resulting in brutal murder of 95 innocent people and torched over 100 houses. However, the conviction was only for rioting, arson and violation of curfew way back in 1996 by a trial court because the Congress government led by then prime minister Rajiv Gandhi had ensured that the no case of murder was registered against any person and the FIR was registered for mere arson and rioting only. In all, over 3,000 innocent persons were killed in the worst ever carnage in the history of independent India and people cutting across all religions, countries had condemned this barbarity. Mr. Badal squarely blamed the congress under the direct guidance of Gandhi family for the riots and then protecting the perpetrators from the law by poor and tardy investigation and the dragging on the cases for nearly 34 years after the occurrence of crime and more than two decades after trial court verdict. He welcomed the judgment but described it half as the murderers of 95 Sikhs have not been put on trial yet. However, Mr. Badal said it was good beginning albeit very late but yet hoped that soon the big sharks too would be in the net of the law and justice would be finally prevail. “The real justice would be on the day when the agent provocateurs like Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler would be convicted and send to gallows and I am confident that day is not far off”, reiterated Mr. Badal . Union Home minister Rajnath Singh had described these cases as outright “genocide”. -PTC NEWS
