Gujarat: 14-month-old baby dies due to coronavirus
A 14-month-old child, who had tested positive for coronavirus on April 5, passed away in Gujarat's Jamnagar district on Tuesday. The toddler is the youngest coronavirus patient in Gujarat and possibly in India to succumb to the pandemic. As per the report, the toddler was put on a ventilator after he was admitted to a government hospital in Jamnagar.
The first and lone case of coronavirus in Jamnagar district so far, the toddler was the youngest to be infected by the pandemic in Gujarat.
Since his (toddler) parents were tested negative for coronavirus, the authorities are trying to ascertain the source of his infection. The parents of the baby boy work as labourers at factories and have no travel history. Meanwhile, they have been kept under quarantine. Likewise, Dared village, where the couple resides, has also been sealed.
