Unlock 4: Chemist shops to open 24X7 in Punjab
Unlock 4: In the wake of a spike in coronavirus cases, the Punjab government has decided that there will be no restrictions on health-care institutions including hospitals, labs, diagnostic centers, and chemist shops.
As per the new order released by the Punjab government, these health-care institutions will be allowed to operate on all 7 days of the week throughout the day i.e will remain open for 24 hours.
It is in continuation of the official letter dated August 31 which detailed the guidelines dated August 29 of MHA for Unlock 4 and additional restrictions including those on the opening of shops, were imposed by the state government to be followed during the period of September 1 to 30.
Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 58,515 after 1,527 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from the state. The death toll in the state has increased to 1,690 after 73 new COVID deaths were reported.

A total of 1529 COVID patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries in the state has increased to 41,271.
