Delhi Metro train services will begin at 6 am on all corridors on Sunday to facilitate the movement of students appearing for examinations and commuters amid traffic restrictions for the BRICS Summit, the DMRC said on Friday.

PTC News Desk: With the BRICS Summit bringing together leaders from around the world in the coming days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed optimism about the meeting, saying it would provide an opportunity for meaningful discussions on key global issues.
Meanwhile, New Delhi has been placed under tight security ahead of the 18th BRICS Summit. Thousands of security personnel have been deployed across the city, along with temporary traffic restrictions.
Around 15,000 Delhi Police personnel, 200 companies of paramilitary forces and more than 500 CCTV cameras have been deployed as part of the security arrangements.
Authorities have ruled out a complete shutdown of the city. However, commuters have been advised to expect temporary traffic halts, diversions and restrictions on routes being used for VVIP movements.
Residents have also been asked to plan their journeys accordingly as security arrangements remain in place during the summit.
