Two minor girls sexually assaulted at swimming pool facility in Delhi's Narela
PTC News Desk: Two minor girls, aged 9 and 12 were sexually assaulted at a private swimming pool facility in Delhi's Narela. The incident came to fore on August 5 when the victims informed their families, who then lodged a formal complaint with local police.
The police registered an FIR and initiated a case on the charges of gang rape, wrongful restraint, and criminal intimidation. Sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act were also invoked.
According to the minor victims, the incident unfolded when they had gone to the swimming pool to practice when one of the accused, Anil Kumar approached them and took them to a room and sexually assaulted them.
Soon after his friend, Munir Kumar also proceeded and sexually assaulted the girls. The accused reportedly issued death threat to the victims and threatened to kill them if they told anyone about the incident.
