Amitabh Bachchan confirms return as KBC host, dismisses speculation on Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan
PTC Web Desk: Veteran Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has officially confirmed his return as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), ending all speculation about a possible replacement. Despite ongoing rumours suggesting Aishwarya Rai Bachchan or Shah Rukh Khan might take over the iconic role, Big B has reassured fans of his continued presence on the quiz show.
The 16th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) recently concluded with an emotional farewell speech by Bachchan, where he reflected on the show's journey. Expressing deep gratitude, he said, "The love I have received from this stage is beyond my imagination. I only hope this bond remains unchanged." He acknowledged the unwavering support of the audience over the past 25 years and spoke about the show's impact.
Addressing fans directly, Bachchan added, "If our words have inspired even one person or given them hope, then these 25 years have been worth it. So, my dear friends, I will see you in the next season. Keep believing in your dreams and never give up."
He concluded with a heartfelt farewell, stating, "Until we meet again, this is Amitabh Bachchan bidding you all good night—only for now."
Recently, a survey by the Indian Institute of Human Brands (IIHB) and Rediffusion’s Red Lab indicated that fans favoured Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai as potential hosts if Bachchan were to step down. The study, conducted across Northern India with 768 respondents, fueled speculation about a possible change. However, with Bachchan’s confirmation, all rumors have been put to rest.
Amitabh Bachchan has been synonymous with Kaun Banega Crorepati since its inception in 2000, making him an irreplaceable part of the show's legacy.
