Sunday proved to be a major turning point, with business jumping by nearly 50 per cent, pushing the film past the coveted Rs 100 crore mark within just three days.
The biggest boost came on Republic Day, when the film recorded its highest single-day earnings so far, raking in a massive Rs 59 crore on Monday.
Beats competition, holds ground
With these numbers, Border 2 has comfortably overtaken the opening weekend collections of Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, further strengthening its box office dominance.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted that collections dipped slightly midweek after the extended holiday period ended, but the film quickly regained momentum during evening shows.
“Border 2 continues its winning march… While Wednesday afternoon saw a slowdown due to the working-day effect, collections improved later in the day. The film is doing exceptionally well in mass belts and heartland centres, which are driving most of the business. Despite fresh releases this Friday, strong word of mouth is expected to fuel another healthy weekend,” Adarsh wrote.
With audience response remaining positive and mass circuits backing it strongly, Border 2 looks set to continue its successful run in the days ahead.
