Chennai (Tamil Nadu), March 11: There is only one day until the Oscars are announced. While many Indians are rooting for RRR's powerful song 'Naatu Naatu' to win the award, music maestro AR Rahman is also hoping for the same.

AR Rahman has also for an Academy Award for his brilliant composition in 'Slumdog Millionaire.'

AR Rahman stated that the Oscar win for Naatu Naatu would eventually lift India up globally. "I want Naatu Naatu to win, and I want them to win the Grammy as well because any award for any of us will lift India up...and the zone, the concentration of our culture will become higher," he said.

The magnum opus energy-packed track 'Naatu Naatu' was nominated for an Oscar in the 'Original Song' category this year.

The lyrical composition of 'Naatu Naatu' by MM Keeravani, the high-energy renditions of singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, the unique choreography by Prem Rakshith, and the lyrics by Chandrabose are all elements that combine to make this 'RRR' mass anthem a perfect dance craze.

'Naatu Naatu' has been competing against 'Applause' from the film 'Tell It Like A Woman,' 'Hold My Hand' from the movie 'Top Gun: Maverick,' 'Lift me Up' from 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,' and 'This Is Life,' from 'Everything, Everywhere All At Once'.

Together with "Naatu Naatu," two other Indian documentaries, "All That Breathes" by Shaunak Sen and "The Elephant Whisperers" by Kartiki Gonsalves, were nominated this year.
