PTC Web Desk: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's latest web series 'Heeramandi - The Diamond Bazaar' has not only captivated global audiences, but has also become a part of Mumbai Police's road safety campaign.

On Saturday, the Mumbai Police shared a post on their official Instagram account, integrating the series into their campaign to emphasise the importance of following traffic rules. The caption read, "Azadi shouq nahi hai Nawab sahib, niyam kabhi na todne ki jang hain" (Freedom is not a whim, Nawab sahib, it is the battle of never breaking the rules).

The series, featuring a star-studded cast, including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Sehgal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh, has received mixed reactions from viewers. Other notable actors include Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah Badussha, Shekhar Suman, and Adhyayan Suman portraying the roles of Nawabs.

Set against the backdrop of India's struggle for independence in the 1940s, 'Heeramandi' explores the lives of courtesans and their patrons, offering a deep dive into the cultural dynamics of Heera Mandi.
