Expenditure limit for municipal elections raised
Returning officers to be elected for 3 municipal corporation and 32 municipal council elections, 6 returning officers will be appointed in Patiala in 60 wards. Duty of 7 Returning Officers has been imposed for 80 wards of Jalandhar. 8 returning officers will be deployed for 85 wards of Amritsar. Those who have not yet made a vote will be able to make it by December 6. Class one municipal committees have been increased from 1.44 lakh to 2 lakh 25 thousand. -PTC News
