Facebook rolls out new emojis for Messenger called 'Soundmojis'

Ahead of World Emoji Day, Facebook has started rolling out emojis with sound on Facebook Messenger which is called "Soundmojis".

According to the company, Facebook Messenger's Soundmojis is an emoji that allows users to send short sound clips in a Messenger chat. Be it from clapping, crickets, drumroll, and evil laughter, to audio clips, you can enjoy it all.

Loredana Crisan, VP of Messaging Products, Messenger, stated that people send more than 2.4 billion messages with emojis on Messenger on a daily basis. The emojis also add colour and vibrancy to Messenger chats.

Now imagine if your emojis could talk, what sound would they make? That's what Soundmojis is all about.

The users can go to the Messenger app, start a chat, tap the smiley face to open the expressions menu. They can select the loudspeaker icon. Afterwards, the users can preview and send their favourite Soundmojis.

FB rolls out soundmojis

The company has launched an entire Soundmoji library to choose from. It will be updated regularly with new sound effects and famous sound bites.

The company stated that it loves creating fun and innovative features to keep people connected.
