Punjab Assembly elections 2022: Fatehgarh Churian is located in the Gurdaspur District of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Tripat Rajinder Singh Bajwa of Congress won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of Fatehgarh Churian. He won the 2017 assembly elections by defeating Shiromani Akali Dal's Nirmal Singh Kahlon with a margin of 1999 votes. Voters According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 161834. 210 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections. A total of 123715 votes were cast in the Fatehgarh Churian constituency and the percentage of voting held 76.45% which was recorded lower than the state average. Candidates Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) gave the ticket to Gurvinder Singh Shampura for the 2017 assembly elections. From Shiromani Akali Dal, Nirmal Singh Kahlon contested for the Fatehgarh Churian constituency.
