Sushant Singh Rajput may no longer be with us, but his memory is afresh in the hearts of his family, friends and millions of fans. Sushant Rajput was an actor who etched his name in the hearts of both small and large screen audiences with his spectacular performances that will be remembered for many years to come. Born on January 21, 1986, the late actor left this world at an early. Sushant was found dead in Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020. But his fans continue to remember him because of the strong character he played in his films, despite a short-lived career. SSR came to the film industry with no Bollywood connection and still managed to make a place for himself. He started his career in the industry as a dancer and later joined a theatre group. After making his name in the TV industry with his performance in Ekta Kapoor's 'Pavitra Rishta', Sushant Rajput switched to films and within just seven years, he gave audiences critically-acclaimed movies like 'Kai Po Che', 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', 'Chhichhore' and others. Today, on SSR's birth anniversary, let's go down memory lane and have a look back at some of the best performances of the acclaimed actor. 'Kai Po Che' (2013) Sushant Singh Rajput made his Bollywood debut with 'Kai Po Che!'. The film based on Chetan Bhagat's novel '3 Mistakes of My Life' also featured Amit Sadh and Rajkummar Rao in pivotal roles. The story of the film revolved around the lives of three best friends on their journey through life. In Neeraj Pandey directorial biopic, Sushant was outstanding in each scene, splendidly portraying the captain's fragile and sensitive side and even managed to get the accent just right. 'Kedarnath' (2018) The romantic drama directed by Abhishek Kapoor featured SSR along with debutant Sara Ali Khan. The film was based on the 2013 Uttarakhand floods that devastated the region, 'Kedarnath.' It also shed light on inter-faith love and marriage between a wealthy Hindu Brahmin woman (Sara) and a Muslim man (Sushant) working in the same vicinity. 'Chhichhore' (2019) The film was Sushant's last film released in theatres while he was alive. 'Chhichhore', which was an ode to the idea of living life to the fullest and not giving up in the face of challenge, proved to be a big hit at the box office. The Nitesh Tiwari-directed film also won the National Award for Best Hindi Film. 'Dil Bechara' (2020) Sushant Singh Rajput's last film 'Dil Bechara' was released on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar after the actor's death. It also featured Sanjana Sanghi and was directed by Mukesh Chhabra. Dil Bechara is a touching adaption of Jonh Green's novel 'The Fault in Our Stars' which certainly made viewers cry and received critical acclaim.
