Fuel prices continue to surge Fuel prices continue marching in an upward direction even on Sunday. The petrol price was hiked by 14 paise and diesel by 29 paise in Delhi. The petrol price after hike now stands at Rs 81.82 per liter and diesel at Rs 73.53 per liter in the national capital. Also Read: Fuel Prices Continue to rise Despite Bharat Bandh In Mumbai, petrol prices were increased by 14 paise, whereas, the diesel prices saw an increase of 31 paise. After revised rates, Petrol is being sold in Mumbai at Rs 87.29 per liter and the diesel price stands at Rs 77.06 per liter. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley addressed a Press Conference in which he announced that the excise duty on petrol and diesel has been reduced by Rs.1.50. Further Oil Marketing companies would be absorbing 1 rupee. Therefore, a total of Rs 2.50 is reduced on both Petrol and diesel prices. -PTC NEWS-
