Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Jalandhar Central constituency is located in the Jalandhar district of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Congress' Rajinder Beri won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of Jalandhar Central. He won the 2017 elections by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Manoranjan Kalia with a margin of 24,078 votes. BJP at that time had an alliance with Shiromani Akali Dal and announced Manoranjan Kalia as its MLA candidate from Jalandhar Central constituency. Rajinder Beri (Congress) grabbed 55,518 votes, while Manoranjan Kalia (BJP) got 31,440 and Dr Sanjiv Sharma (AAP) got 15,269 votes.
