Jammu and Kashmir, Kishtwar Road Accident: 35 Killed, PM Narendra Modi expresses grief, J&K Governor Satya Pal Malik announces ex-gratia

As many as 35 people killed and 17 others are heavily injured after a bus plunge into a gorge after a matador vehicle coming from Keshwan to Kishwar, here on Monday. The incident has taken the lives of 35 people and left 17 others injured. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his grief to those who lost their lives.

PM Narendra Modi said and I quote, “The accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar is heart-wrenching. We mourn all those who lost their lives and express condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover at the earliest.”

Likewise, Jammu & Kashmir Governor, Satya Pal Malik has announced the Ex-Gratia of Rs 5 lakh each to the next of the kin of the deceased who lost their lives in an accident. Also, he directed the administration to provide best medical treatment to the injured in Kishtwar road accident.

Also, Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed his grief to the deceased. He said and I quote, “Extremely saddened to learn about the loss of lives due to a road accident in Kishtwar, Jammu & Kashmir. My deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones. I pray of the speedy recovery of those injured.”
