Katrina Kaif hits back at body-shaming trolls: 'Why would I want to go back?'
PTC Web Desk: Katrina Kaif has a clear message for those who keep measuring her worth by a number on the weighing scale: she is not rushing to please anyone.
The actor recently became the target of online trolls after a picture of her from a Ganesh Chaturthi celebration in Mumbai went viral. Some social media users went as far as saying her career was over because she had put on weight. What they conveniently ignored is that she welcomed her son Vihaan less than a year ago.

Speaking to Vogue, where she features as the cover star, Katrina addressed the noise head-on. “I have taken a step ahead towards something that was a deep desire in my heart, so why would I want to go back?” she said, talking about how much she values motherhood.
She also opened up about the emotional moment of becoming a mother. The first few days after Vihaan’s birth, she said, were hard to put into words. Seeing his face made her feel that the four difficult years she and husband Vicky Kaushal had gone through were worth it.
On getting back in shape, she is in no hurry. “I am very aware of my fitness journey and where my body feels at its most energetic. I will reach there at my own pace,” she said.
Vihaan turns one on November 7 and Katrina is currently soaking in every moment with him and her family.
How she deals with trolling
This is not the first time Katrina has spoken about online negativity. At a Kay Beauty event in London, she explained why she does not let such comments get to her. “If we are going to start catering to all of them, I think it really hampers your ability to make choices for yourself,” she said.
Whenever she sees criticism online, she simply scrolls past it. Letting it shape her decisions, she feels, would leave her too scared to move forward in any area of life.
Her advice to women is simple: be your own biggest cheerleader and accept yourself as you are right now. According to her, there are days when you look and feel your best, and days when you are still working towards it. “Don’t take yourself too seriously. Just have fun with it,” she added.
