Kejriwal, AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Ashutosh apologies to Arun Jaitley
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Aam Aadmi Party leaders Sanjay Singh and Ashutosh in a joint letter have apologized to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the defamation case he had filed against them, as per sources.
As per sources, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has accepted the apology from Arvind Kejriwal.
Mr Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, has been on an apology spree for a while now inorder to pull all the defamation suits against him. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had filed two cases against Mr Kejriwal and sought compensation of Rs. 20 crore.
Sanjay Singh, Ashutosh, Kumar Vishwas, Deepak Bajpai and Raghav Chadha were named in the defamation suit filed by Jaitley.
Mr Jaitley had asked for Rs. 10 crore as damages after the AAP leaders accused him of corruption during his 13-year tenure as the boss of Delhi’s cricket association DDCA.
Another case was filed last year after Mr Kejriwal’s lawyer Ram Jethmalani used a slur while cross-examining him and said the term had been authorized by his client.
