Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Ludhiana Central constituency is located in the Ludhiana district of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Congress' Surinder Kumar Dawar won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of Ludhiana Central. He won the 2017 elections by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Gurdev Sharma with a margin of 20,480 votes. Voters According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 1,47,629. 144 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections. A total of 1,02,908 votes were cast in the Ludhiana Central constituency and the percentage was 69.71%, which was recorded lower than the state average. Candidates Lok Insaaf Party's (LIP) Vipan Sood Kaka, Bharatiya Janata Party's Gurdev Sharma and Congress' Surinder Kumar Dawar were MLA candidates for the Ludhiana Central constituency in the 2017 Punjab assembly elections. Surinder Kumar Dawar (Congress) grabbed 47,871 votes, while Gurdev Sharma (BJP) got 27,391 votes. Vipan Sood Kaka (LIP) managed to get 25,001 votes.
