Man beats his friend to death over illicit relations in Ludhiana
A 23-year-old man was beaten to death on Tuesday morning by two youths on suspicion of having an illicit relation with one of the youth’s wife in Ludhiana. The incident was reported from Gopal Nagar in Ludhiana. According to media reports, one of the accused also thrashed his wife who suffered fractures in her leg and arm.
According to the media reports, the deceased youth Gurbinder Singh (23) was working as a lab technician. He was a resident of Kalewal village, near Koom Kalan. The injured wife has been identified as Simranjit Kaur.
Gurbinder Singh and accused Jagjit Singh (Simanjeet Kaur’s husband) were friends. He used to visit his friend’s house quite often. Jagjit suspected that his wife was having an affair with Gurbinder Singh. On Sunday night, the victim visited the house of Jagjit Singh when he was not home.
After some time, Jagjit and his brother Ranjit returned home. They both got angry on seeing Gurbinder present at his house in his absence. The accused started beating the victims.
A team from the Tibba police station reached the spot. It rushed the victims to a nearby hospital. The doctors at the hospital declared the youth brought dead, while the woman is undergoing treatment.
Father of Gurbinder Singh has lodged a complaint on which a murder case has been registered against the accused by the police.
Police told the media that it is investigating the matter. As both the suspects have absconded, it is searching for them.
