Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Maur constituency is located in the Bathinda district of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Aam Aadmi Party's Jagdev Singh won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of Maur. He won the 2017 elections by defeating Janmeja Singh Sekhon of Shiromani Akali Dal with a margin of 14,677 votes. Voters According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 161501. 169 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections. A total of 137259 votes were cast in the Maur constituency and the percentage was 84.99%, which was recorded higher than the state average. Candidates Aam Aadmi Party's Jagdev Singh, Shiromani Akali Dal's Janmeja Singh Sekhon and Congress' Harminder Singh Jassi were MLA candidates for the Maur constituency in 2017 Punjab assembly elections. Jagdev Singh (AAP) grabbed 62,282 votes, while Janmeja Singh Sekhon (SAD) got 47605 votes. Harminder Singh Jassi (Congress) received 23087 votes.
