Air India plane crash: Passenger who boarded same flight just two hours earlier flags shocking safety lapses | Watch
PTC Web Desk: In a startling development, passenger Akash Vats, who travelled on the same aircraft bound for Ahmedabad (AHD), has alleged witnessing multiple discrepancies aboard the flight, raising serious concerns about passenger safety and aircraft maintenance standards.

Vats, who disembarked at Ahmedabad, claims he observed irregularities that may indicate lapses in protocol. “There were odd vibrations during takeoff and the overhead bins were not locked properly,” he noted, adding that cabin crew appeared unaware or unconcerned when he raised the issue. He also mentioned that the in-flight lighting system flickered intermittently, and he suspected technical issues with the landing gear upon descent.
His claims come amid broader scrutiny of airline operational safety in India, following recent incidents that have prompted DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) inspections. Vats has since urged the airline and aviation authorities to thoroughly investigate the aircraft and its recent flight log.
No official response has yet been issued by the airline. The DGCA is expected to look into the matter as part of its ongoing safety review protocols.
