Assembly Elections 2023 Results LIVE UPDATES: The stage is all set for counting of votes across four states- Telangana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
The Assembly elections 2023 conducted in Telangana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh between November 7 and November 30 bear substantial weight as they stand as a precursor to the upcoming General Election.
The counting commences at 8 am amid tight security for 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 90 seats in Chhattisgarh, 119 seats in Telangana and 199 seats in Rajasthan.
The 230 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh will be counted at 52 district headquarters. There are a total of 2,533 candidates in the race, including political leaders such as Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his predecessor and rival Kamal Nath.
Over 1800 candidates are running for 199 seats in Rajasthan, where power has alternated every five years for the last three decades between the Congress and the BJP.
Counting of votes in Chhattisgarh to take place across 33 districts and a total of 1,181 candidates are in the fray, including Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Deputy Chief Minister TS Singh Deo
BRS supremo Chandrasekhar Rao, his minister-son KT Rama Rao, TPCC president A Revanth Reddy, and BJP Lok Sabha members Bandi Sanjay Kumar, D Arvind, and Soyam Bapu Rao are among the 2,290 candidates.
