CBI busts child trafficking racket busted in Delhi; 7 arrested, three newborns rescued
PTC News Desk: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided multiple places in Delhi in connection with child trafficking and rescued three newborn babies from a residence located in the Keshavpuram neighbourhood.
According to CBI sources, babies were bought and sold as commodities on the black market. The CBI is currently investigating all persons involved, including the parents who sold the children and the buyers themselves.

The scope of this investigation stretches far beyond Delhi's borders, with the CBI arresting individuals involved in the trafficking of seven to eight children around the National Capital Region (NCR).
Arrested persons include a hospital ward boy and other women. As reported by CBI sources, ten children have been sold in the last month alone, and seven people were arrested.
The CBI probe has now stretched to numerous states, with several large hospitals facing intensive scrutiny. According to accounts, newborns were sold for high prices ranging from Rs 4 to 5 lakh.
