Dog attack in Chennai: A dog attack can indeed be a terrifying and traumatic resulting to physical injuries, ranging from puncture wounds and lacerations to fractures and dislocations. 

Beyond the physical injuries, a dog attack can have lasting emotional consequences. Individuals who experience a dog attack may develop a fear of dogs (cynophobia) or suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Children, in particular, may be deeply affected by such an incident.


In a terrifying and spine-chilling incident, tensions and scare gripped Chennai as a stray dog bit 29 people on the busy road of Chennai in less than an hour before it was beaten to tragic death by victims who have been tested positive for rabies. 

The dreadful dog attack incident unfolded on Tuesday evening in an hour on busy GA Road. 

According to witnesses, the dog was lying on the road in north Chennai's mostly business sector when it suddenly attacked pedestrians, attacking their ankles and feet.

Five children among 29 people fall under the prey of dog attack in Chennai and all tested positive for rabies. 

Later, annoyed and furious locals pelted the stray dog with stones and killed it. 

Following this occurrence, corporate officials apprehended 31 more stray dogs in the vicinity and began the process of immunising them against rabies.

Special stray dog raids and ARV vaccinations for canines are also taking place throughout the city.

According to corporation officials, 1,242 canines were apprehended this month, with 1007 animal birth control procedures performed.

Meanwhile, the people who have been tested rabies positive has been advised by authorities to seek veterinary attention and undergo with treatment and medications.
