Flight delayed? Biting cold gripped Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh while dense fog caused several accidents. As the temperature dropped to minus Celsius in several parts of Punjab, a dense layer of fog has engulfed the city, causing in-conveninance for commuters as they faced delays as traffic slowed down, and the impact extended to the railway services, resulting in cancellations and delays.
The Delhi airport experienced delays in both arrivals and departures for about 30 flights including international due to dense fog. But now you can reschedule or cancel flight at no additional cost if major fog delays.

Highlighting the airline's commitment to passenger convenience during adverse weather conditions, Air India announced that passengers travelling to and from Delhi IGI airport during the winter season can reschedule or cancel their bookings at no additional cost with the FogCare program.

With the new FogCare program, passengers on flights will receive regular updates through flight-specific advisories, ensuring they are well-informed about potential delays. The airline aims to enhance the overall travel experience by offering passengers easy alternatives in advance, demonstrating a proactive approach to address challenges associated with winter fog.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department issued a dense fog alert for northwest and parts of adjoining central India during the next three to four days.
