Goldy Brar Gang Shooters, hired to kill Munawar Faruqi, arrested after gunfire exchange
PTC News Desk: Two members of the Rohit Godara–Goldy Brar–Virender Charan gang, allegedly assigned to kill Bigg Boss-24 winner and stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui, were arrested following a gunfire exchange on Jaitpur-Kalindi Kunj Road.
The suspects, identified as Rahul from Panipat and Sahil from Bhiwani in Haryana, were reportedly acting on instructions from foreign-based gangster Rohit Godara, who was coordinating with Goldy Brar and Virender Charan to target Faruqui.
Investigators revealed that the duo had carried out surveillance in Mumbai and Bengaluru to monitor Faruqui’s movements.
Faruqui, who won the reality show Bigg Boss in 2024, has 14.2 million Instagram followers.
Rahul, who sustained a gunshot injury during the encounter, was already wanted in a triple murder case in Yamunanagar, Haryana, from December 2024, an officer said. He was taken to a hospital for treatment, while police recovered the firearms used and a motorcycle from the scene
