Haryanvi model Sheetal found dead in NCR canal; boyfriend under police scanner
PTC Web Desk: A tragic incident has come to the fore from Haryana, where the body of a young woman, identified as Sheetal—a model linked to the Haryanvi music industry—was recovered from the NCR canal between Khanda and Jharothi villages, falling under the Kharkhoda police station jurisdiction in Sonepat district.
According to police sources, the deceased, a native of Khalila Majra village in Panipat, had recently shifted to Sat Kartar Colony in Panipat with her sister, Neha. On Sunday, Neha reported Sheetal missing at the Old Industrial Area Police Station, after failing to establish contact with her.

Family members told the police that Sheetal was last seen with her boyfriend, whose car was later discovered abandoned near the very stretch of the canal where her body was found. Shockingly, just before she went missing, Sheetal had reportedly made a video call to her sister, during which she accused her boyfriend of physically assaulting and attacking her. That call was the last time anyone heard from her.
The body was located late Sunday evening. Police officials from Kharkhoda, including station in-charge Prem Kumar, said a missing person alert had been received from Panipat. Based on preliminary investigations and identification by the family, the body was confirmed to be that of Sheetal.
The police have launched a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances leading to her death. Special attention is being given to the role of her boyfriend, who remains untraceable at the time of filing this report.
