Jammu and Kashmir: Five LeT terrorists killed in encounter; Army foils infiltration attempt
PTC Web Desk: In a coordinated anti-infiltration operation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, five Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists were eliminated by a combined police and Army team on Thursday, said Vijay Kumar, Additional Director General of J&K Police.
The encounter took place in the Machil sector of Kupwara district. Initially, two terrorists were neutralised in an initial exchange of gunfire, followed by an ensuing gunfight that led to the elimination of three more terrorists, as reported by the police.
The operation is still underway.
