Karnataka shocker: In a recent shocking and unexpected case, a woman died and 70 others were hospitalised after consuming ‘prasad’ or an edible offering at religious place in Karnataka.
The horrific incident unfolded in Hoskote in Bengaluru Rural limits when pilgrims and devotees consumed 'prasad' and complained about stomach ache, vomiting, headaches and nausea thus suspected food poisoning.
After the tragic incident, 1 woman died and 70 other hospitalised and the Karnataka health department is closely monitoring the situation.
If health reports to be believed at the initial stage, the case is of food poisoning but the further investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, health authorities said, “70 people have been admitted to different hospitals. The health department has identified five hospitals in which maximum patients have been admitted.”
The statement of the patients has been recorded but complaint has not been registered yet. The investigation is at the preliminary stage and soon the complaint will be registered based on facts and investigation.
The authorities are conducting a further investigation into the matter to determine the circumstances that led to the food poisoning and ensure appropriate action is taken in response to this tragic incident.
