LPG gets costlier in India as Iran war rages: Domestic cylinder price hiked by Rs 60, commercial up by Rs 115

PTC News Desk: The price of LPG cylinders for homes has gone up from Saturday, March 7. The cost of a 14.2-kg domestic cooking gas cylinder has increased by ₹60 across the country, according to sources.


The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has also been raised by ₹115 from the same day. This increase will affect businesses such as hotels, restaurants, and small commercial establishments.

In Delhi, the price of a 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder has risen from ₹853 to ₹913. In Mumbai, it has increased from ₹852.50 to ₹912.50. In Kolkata, the price has gone up from ₹879 to ₹939, while in Chennai it has increased from ₹868.50 to ₹928.50. The new prices have come into effect immediately.

Commercial LPG cylinders have also become more expensive. In Delhi, the price of a 19-kg cylinder has increased from ₹1,768.50 to ₹1,883. In Mumbai, it has risen from ₹1,720.50 to ₹1,835. In Kolkata, the price has gone up from ₹1,875.50 to ₹1,990, while in Chennai it has increased from ₹1,929 to ₹2,043.50.
