PTC News Desk: In a shocking incident in Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar, a man was apprehended by the police after stabbing a woman in broad daylight on Friday. The disturbing episode, captured on CCTV and widely circulated on social media, depicted the assailant viciously attacking the woman with a knife.

Identified as Aman, the accused is a local resident employed as a cook in a nearby paying guest accommodation, according to reports by News18. Aman revealed to authorities that he had been subjected to mockery and derogatory labeling by students in the area, who often referred to him as "crazy." Allegedly, the victim had also taunted him, further fueling his anger.


The CCTV footage of the incident captured Aman swiftly approaching the woman, forcefully pushing her to the ground, and repeatedly stabbing her with a knife. Despite the gravity of the assault, a passerby intervened, preventing the woman from sustaining more severe injuries. According to ANI, the victim is currently in stable condition and out of danger.

The footage shows a bystander on a motorcycle attempting to intervene and detain the suspect. However, Aman manages to evade capture momentarily and makes another attempt to assault the woman. Thankfully, another individual intervenes, thwarting further harm. Subsequently, the suspect is seen trying to flee the scene but was later apprehended by law enforcement officers.

The incident has sparked outrage and renewed discussions about the safety of women in public spaces, prompting authorities to take swift action against the perpetrator.
