Manali: 14-year-old tourist from UP swept Away in Manalsu stream, body recovered from Beas River
Manali news: A family trip to Himachal Pradesh ended in tragedy after a 14-year-old girl from Uttar Pradesh lost her life in an accident near the Manalsu stream in Manali on Tuesday.
The girl, a resident of Bijnor district, had travelled to Manali with her parents when she was reportedly swept away by the strong current near the Club House area.
Soon after the incident, the local police and the fire department launched a joint search and rescue operation. Rescue teams searched the stream and nearby areas before eventually locating the girl's body in the Beas River near the Volvo Bus Stand in Manali. The body has been taken into police custody for further legal formalities.
The incident has left the family devastated. Authorities have once again urged tourists to stay away from rivers, streams and other water bodies during the monsoon season, warning that rising water levels and strong currents can be extremely dangerous.
