Nigerian-British rapper Tion Wayne releases tribute song for late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala
Chandigarh, May 05: Nigerian-British rapper Tion Wayne had collaborated with Moosewala for the Punjabi singer’s 2021 song ‘Celebrity Killer’ has released a new song titled "Sidhu Moosewala Ko Leke" in memory of the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, who was tragically killed in Mansa last year.
Wayne visited the Moosa village, where Moosewala was from, and shot the visuals for the video of his upcoming song, which was released a few hours later. The song has already been viewed over 198,000 times in the last eight hours.

During his visit, Wayne also paid his respects at the place of Moosewala's cremation and visited Jawahar Ke Pind, where the singer was shot. Moosewala's father Balkaur Singh and mother Charan Kaur showed Wayne around the village, including Moosewala's favorite HMT 5911 tractor, and even arranged for some tractor stuntmen to perform for Wayne.
Wayne and Moosewala had previously collaborated on the Punjabi singer's song "Celebrity Killer," which was released in 2021. The new song is a tribute to Moosewala's life and legacy, and Wayne wanted to showcase the singer's village and home in the video. The song also features shots of Wayne wearing traditional Punjabi clothing, and Balkaur Singh praised Wayne for his efforts to show Sidhu's village, home, and farms to people outside of India.
In a statement, Balkaur Singh expressed his sadness that his son is no longer with them but was happy that Wayne was able to continue Moosewala's legacy. Wayne's previous collaboration with Moosewala was a superhit, and the new song is likely to attract a large audience.
