Pankaj Tripathi's brother Vijayendranath Tiwari attacked with axe in Bihar, accused arrested
PTC News Desk: Actor Pankaj Tripathi's brother Vijayendranath Tiwari was allegedly attacked with an axe and seriously injured in Bihar's Gopalganj district. The accused has been arrested in connection with the incident.
According to the police, the assault took place on June 21 in Belsand Tiwari Tola under Madhopur Police Station limits following a dispute over land.
After receiving information about the incident, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Sadar-2 and the Madhopur Station House Officer reached the spot and launched an investigation.
The injured Vijayendranath Tiwari was immediately transported to the hospital and is currently undergoing treatment. Doctors said his condition is currently stable and under control.
In view of the gravity of the situation, a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was called to the scene to collect evidence. Meanwhile police have also recovered the weapon used in the attack and blood-stained clothes worn by the accused.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the attack stemmed from an ongoing land dispute. Police said the accused, identified as Rajesh Sah, a neighbour of the victim, allegedly assaulted Tiwari with the axe.
