Parliament Winter Session 2025 to be held from December 1 to 19
PTC News Desk: Parliament Winter Session 2025 will be held from December 1 to December 19, said Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju.
President Droupadi Murmu has approved the proposal of the Government to convene the Winter Session of Parliament on those dates, he said. “Looking forward to a constructive & meaningful Session that strengthens our democracy & serves the aspirations of the people,” he posted on X.
The Winter Session of the Parliament will hold significant reverence as it is being held right after the Bihar Assembly Elections. The session is expected to be rocked by several issues including vote theft claims by opposition and second phase of the contentious Special Intensive Revision.
The Monsoon Session of Parliament witnessed heated exchanges between the government and the Opposition over several issues, including the April 26 Pahalgam Terror Attack and India’s subsequent ‘Operation Sindoor,’ which targeted terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.
Both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha experienced repeated disruptions during the session, as the Opposition insisted on a debate over the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in election-bound Bihar.
